I actually love door knockers and think they can be a unexpected and fun twist when sprucing up your home. But a new knocker isn’t high on my list of things to buy so I borrowed a can of metallic spray paint from my parents and did a quick DIY.
My door knob is silver and my door knocker is brass and the mixing of metals just seems wrong. It's worth mentioning that a new knocker at Lowes runs about $14 and my fix was free + one silver finger. I'll wear gloves next time.
